Calling Travel Enthusiasts Worldwide

Any travel enthusiast can be an effective Travel Director. I will insist that if you love to travel, then you can enjoy it for less money to you, do it more often and maybe become a hero of sorts for your trouble.

Everyone wants to travel - if they can afford it - but getting round to do it is the real issue. With all the trouble of security, misinformation, lack of information, too much information etc, who wants to venture outside their comfort zones? But, with the right information, motivation and company, anyone will dare to "go out there and see the world".

In my decades of experience in the Kenyan and East African tourism market, I have learned that most of the people who come to this beautiful destination do so through word of mouth. Many come back over and over again, while others simply come and stay for good. The one thing they all have in common is this; they know the destination well. They are not uncertain or fearful of what they read in the newspapers, neither are they the most fearless or daring of all!

Through this blog, I would like to make a proposition to you. If you can come up with a group of friends, relatives or colleagues who would want to experience the magic of an East African adventure, I will give you all the logistical support you need to lead your group to this part of the world and will ensure that you pay wholesalers' costs for yourself. Who knows, depending on the size of the group, as the Travel Director you might find yourself traveling for free!

Think about it, besides the traditional and hugely famous bush safari that the East African countries are renown for, you can become a Travel Director on a birdwatching, golf, conservation, cultural or even a voluntourism holiday. The possibilities are many and they are begging for exploration.

And while you exercise your leadership qualities, I will attempt to provide the most comprehensive and unbiased information for the destination as possible, while at the same time doing my best to respond to all questions and comments that will come my way. Trust me, every time I have the moment, I will put information that can be used by the most professional Travel Director right here on this blog.

And guess what, I shall have no alternative but to hold your hand and walk with you through the entire process of making you the star of your group. If you insist that I come along with you, I will do so for I have special understanding with all hotels and lodges that I have used over the years - they let me sleep at the reception when everyone has gone to bed.

What's more, I think that in my life in the trade I must have answered more than 100 million strange questions but I feel like am not yet half way. What am I saying? Ask and ask and ask as many questions as you need to ask if that is what will get you to consider having the time of your life in Africa. The local Travel Director is at your service.
